It takes many volunteers to successfully run this event. We need folks to help with guiding attendees within the park, wrangling the lines for the hayrides, helping with safety, etc.
If you would be willing to help, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Late in the afternoon on the first Sunday in December, Observatory Park transforms into a winter wonderland. UPCC provides horse-drawn hay rides for all residents, Chamberlin Observatory is open for stargazing, and live holiday music is provided for all to enjoy (from Swallow Hill). Santa Claus drops in to talk with tots and for photo ops. Hot beverages and cookies are provided by UPCC, the University Park Mothers Club and local residents (attendees are asked to bring a sweet treat to share).
Special thanks to La Belle Rosette Coffee Shop at 2423 South University for providing cider, treats and volunteers at our 2014 event.
